Position: Hospital Cleaner
Msuez Uk is a leading cleaning company in Durban, South Africa, specializing in providing high-quality cleaning services to hospitals and healthcare facilities. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Hospital Cleaner to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties in assigned areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Empty and clean waste receptacles and dispose of trash in designated areas
- Clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and fixtures using approved cleaning agents and methods
- Restock supplies in patient rooms and other areas as needed
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times while interacting with patients, staff, and visitors
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment used in a hospital environment
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
