Summary

Anatolia College invites expressions of interest for the position of Payroll Officer to cover its immediate needs (Maternity Leave). The Payroll Officer will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, including payroll calculations, overtime and additional compensation, employee leave and absence records, statutory reporting, and employment-related procedures. The role will also involve regular communication and collaboration with employees and internal departments to ensure smooth, accurate payroll administration.

Contract details: Full-time, definite duration contract

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end monthly payroll calculations and processing with high accuracy and strict adherence to timelines.
  • Calculate overtimes, additional hours, applicable allowances and supplements
  • Administer employee leave and sickness absences, execute corresponding payroll adjustments, and oversee work schedule management.
  • Manage the administration and distribution of payroll-related employee benefits, including meal allowances and benefit card programs (ticket cards).
  • Process all employment-related procedures through ERGANI, including hires, terminations, and employee changes
  • Serve as the primary payroll contact, providing clear communication and support to internal departments and employees on pay, hours, and leave.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of payroll calculations and employment records in accordance with the applicable legislation and internal policies
  • Support the preparation of payroll reports and other information for the Administration

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics

  • MSc will be considered an asset

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 

  • You have solid knowledge of payroll processes and Greek payroll legislation
  • You have proven experience using payroll software, preferably Epsilon Net (Pylon), for payroll calculation and administration
  • You have excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Your written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English are strong
  • You excel using Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Workspace and general Web proficiency
  • You can multitask, getting tasks done quickly and accurately

  • Adaptability/Flexibility is your thing: You adapt to change, are open to new ideas, take on new responsibilities, handle pressure, and adjust plans to meet changing needs.
  • You are a team player: You contribute to the team by meeting all team deadlines and responsibilities, helping team members to meet goals, and maintain effective communication with internal departments and employees.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant payroll position is required
  • Proven experience in payroll calculation and administration is required

  • Proven experience using payroll software, preferably Epsilon Net (Pylon), is required
  • Experience working in a school or educational institution is considered an asset
