Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development & Sales Manager to lead B2B sales, strategic partnerships, and market expansion for NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) advanced battery solutions serving EVs, marine, industrial mobility, and port electrification applications in the U.S. market.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record selling NMC battery systems or other high-energy-density lithium-ion technologies, strong technical understanding of battery solutions, and established relationships with OEMs, fleet operators, port authorities, and electrification ecosystem partners.
This role demands strong commercial acumen, go-to-market strategy development, and the capability to accelerate NMC battery adoption across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Drive new business growth for NMC battery solutions in EV, marine, port, and industrial sectors across the United States. Identify opportunities leveraging U.S. electrification incentives, regulatory shifts, and emerging customer needs.
B2B Sales & Account Management
Lead the full sales cycle specifically for NMC battery systems, including qualification, technical discussions, pricing, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure. Maximize account value through cross-selling and upselling across the NMC product portfolio.
Strategic Partnerships
Establish and nurture partnerships with OEMs, integrators, port authorities, fleet operators, municipal agencies, and technology ecosystem players to expand market penetration of NMC battery solutions.
Market Intelligence & GTM Strategy
Conduct U.S.-focused research on NMC demand trends, regulatory frameworks, performance requirements, competitive offerings, and market gaps. Develop targeted GTM strategies aligned with regional applications.
Tender & Proposal Management
Prepare technical proposals and commercial tenders for large-scale NMC deployments. Collaborate with engineering and product teams on system configuration, sizing, and technical specifications.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, R&D, supply chain, and marketing to align customer requirements with the product roadmap for NMC battery technologies.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
Engage with U.S. regulatory bodies, utilities, and certification partners to ensure compliance standards for NMC battery systems are met across applications.
Customer Relationship Management
Implement strategies to shorten sales cycles, enhance customer satisfaction, and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers within the U.S. electrification ecosystem.
Revenue & KPI Management
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets tied to NMC battery adoption and revenue growth in the U.S. market.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (MBA is a plus).
510+ years of B2B sales experience specifically in NMC battery systems or high-energy-density lithium-ion technologies.
Strong technical and commercial expertise selling into EV, marine, industrial, or port electrification markets.
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with U.S. OEMs, fleet operators, integrators, and public-sector stakeholders.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets through strategic, consultative selling.
Experience with large-scale tenders, complex proposals, and multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Deep understanding of NMC chemistry, performance characteristics, and U.S. electrification policies.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and technical presentation skills.
Willingness to travel frequently across the United States.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
Established network in the U.S. EV, marine, or industrial mobility sectors involving NMC battery solutions.
Familiarity with UL standards, DOT regulations, IRA incentives, port decarbonization programs, and other compliance frameworks relevant to NMC batteries.
Experience collaborating with engineering teams on NMC system configuration and deployment.
Strong CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot) and data-driven sales approach.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
