Emergency Department Information:
- 25,000 annual ED visits
- 28 ED beds
- Flexible scheduling & dedicated Nocturnists
- Subspecialty backup -Pulmonology / ICUNeurology (tele stroke w/ WVU in ER, coverage some days of the month for admitted patients) OrthopedicsUrologyGIOphthamologyCardiology w/ Cath lab & InterventionOB/GYN - Ultrasound available 24/7
- ACLS, PALS, BLS, ATLS
- Board Certified - Yes
- Board Eligible - Yes
- WV License - Required
Shift coverage model: 3 MD shifts Monday to Friday/2 MD shift Sat and Sun 2 APP shifts M to Friday/1 APP shift Sat and Sun Shift Times: Mix of 10 and 12-hour physician shifts M to F and 12s Sat and Sun Two 10-hour APP shifts M to F/One 12-hour on Sat and Sun
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must be open to working both day and night shifts. One of the FTE is for a nocturnist clinician
Specialty - Emergency Medicine
1.6-2 patients per hour
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- ACLS
- ATLS
- BLS
- Board Certified
- Board Eligible
- PALS
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- West Virginia
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
ABEM/AOBEM board certified physicians do not currently need ATLS but it is preferred. Other certs mentioned are required for physicians. ABEM/AOBEM physicians are highly preferred.
