Requirements:
The role will be focused on using Python and database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy) to build a complex applications for ingesting, qualifying and quantifying their environmental and social impact data. You will be instrumental in designing and building all aspects of their backend application, working closely with their VP of engineer.
They are looking for people with a real passion for making a difference. A Python Engineer who cares about the code they write - both its quality and what it's used for. They want people who are intellectually curious, but likes getting the job done. They want people who want to build something awesome, and have fun whilst doing it.
Day to day you will be designing and building complex applications as well as tools for managing data sets whilst evolving the structures and capabilities of their data as their products change. You will use numerical analysis and machine learning techniques (something you can learn on the job) to help identify incorrect data points to improve overall data accuracy. Finally you'll be building models to estimate and derive insights from the data.
They are looking for someone who has core experience in Python as well as open-source data stores (SQLAlchemy etc). You'll be experienced in building applications in Python as well as potenially some Node.JS too.
