Senior Front End Developer

Key Responsibilities include,

·        Assess & estimate new work requests

·        Build and enhance features within projects, adding unit & automation tests for high code coverage

·        Contribute to semantically versioned common code libraries

·        Deploy applications using continuous integration & deployment systems

·        Educate & inform more junior members of the team during pull requests

·        Fix bugs & reduce tech debt across systems

·        Generate new ideas for development approaches & architectural approaches

·        Help improve, optimise & modernise our tech stack, with research into industry best practice

In order to be successful in the role you will ideally need,

·        A proven track record in a developer role with sound knowledge and experience programming applications using Javascript or Typescript

·        Previous development experience of single page Web applications using React or similar frameworks (e.g. Angular, Vue)

·        Experience implementing and using UI state management patterns e.g (Redux, Zustand)

·        An understanding of declarative routing patterns (e.g with React Router)

·        Knowledge of modern UI styling approaches using CSS, Sass or CSS-in-JSS solutions

·        The ability to develop unit & integration tests using Javascript test frameworks, e.g. Jest, Enzyme, Jasmine

·        Previous experience in communicating with Microservice REST APIs, and an understanding of Networking/HTTP protocols

·        Experience using version control tooling & repositories, e.g. git, GitHub, Bitbucket

·        Understanding of agile work tracking/ticketing software such as Jira, Azure Boards

·        Implementing defensive code for security considerations with front end software development

·        Experience working within strictly Object Oriented or Functional Programming paradigms
