CDL A Driver – No Experience Required

Got your CDL but no miles behind you yet? American Driver is hiring in Decatur, AL and this position was designed exactly for that situation.

Decatur sits in the Tennessee Valley with direct access to I-65 — a natural hub for freight moving north and south along the Eastern corridor. We'll put you with a mentor, get you on real loads, and have you running solo when you're ready.

The Training:

• Fully paid 4–6 week program, no cost to you
• Mentor-led, live freight from the first week
• Everything covered — ELD, logbooks, inspections, customer interaction
• Weekly paycheck throughout the entire program
• Solo transition at $0.56 CPM when training is complete

Life on the Road:

• Dry van freight, no touching loads required
• Heavy drop and hook — around 60% of runs
• Consistent 2,200–2,500 miles every week
• Eastern lanes with reliable, year-round volume
• Predictable dispatch with minimal dead time

The Money:

• Starting CPM $0.56, up to $0.65 with experience
• Take-home typically lands at $1,200–$1,500 weekly
• Stops, layovers, and breakdowns paid on top
• Automatic pay review at six months
• $300 for orientation week

Home Time:

• Planned home time every two weeks — no surprises

Your Truck:

• Late-model Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025)
