Money and miles

• $850 weekly during training

What new drivers usually worry about

• "I am not good at backing yet." Nobody is on day one. You get weeks of practice with a mentor next to you before you ever drive alone.
• "Will one ticket disqualify me?" Not by itself. We accept up to 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
• "Will my pay drop when training ends?" No. You have a $1,000 weekly guarantee for your first 3 months solo.
• "How often will I see home?" You are home every two weeks.

Your first six weeks, step by step

It starts with a phone call. Our recruiter checks your license and driving record with you up front, so you know where you stand.

Orientation takes 2 days at most. We cover the hotel and pay you back for a one-way bus ticket. Once you are hired, orientation pays $300.

Then 4 to 6 weeks on the road with a trainer. They sit beside you while you learn to back up, plan a trip, run your logs and fuel. You earn $850 a week the whole time.

Then the truck is yours. An assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed. Your first 3 solo months come with a $1,000 weekly guarantee.

Day to day

Solo drivers run at least 1,900 miles a week. Freight goes across the East and Midwest.

No unloading. Weekends and holidays are part of the job.

What you need

• 21 or older with a valid Class A CDL
• New CDL-A holders welcome (at least 120 hours from a CDL school), or 6 months of recent experience
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no DUI/DWI in the last 10 years
• Pass a DOT physical plus hair and urine drug test
