Job Openings CDL-A Night Grocery Driver - Home Daily - Paid Training

About the job CDL-A Night Grocery Driver - Home Daily - Paid Training

Two runs a night. Home every morning. Grocery freight to stores across Southwest Florida.

Your numbers

  • $1,300 to $1,400 average weekly pay
  • $0.43 to $0.51 per mile on about 2,200 miles a week
  • $10 per stop
  • $30 extra for loads under 90 miles
  • Performance bonus on top
  • Weekly direct deposit

How the week runs

You pick a five-night block: Thursday to Monday, or Friday to Tuesday. Each shift is two runs out of the Arcadia distribution center. You deliver refrigerated grocery loads to stores in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Cape Coral, Englewood, North Port and Arcadia, then come home.

The truck stays at the yard. You drive your own car in, take the tractor assigned for the night and leave it there when you're done. Unloading is live at the store, so expect to stay with the trailer while the crew works.

What's tough about it

Nights. Weekends inside your block. Holidays when the stores need freight. If you want daytime hours, this isn't your job. If you want to sleep in your own bed every day, it is.

Coming out of CDL school?

You're welcome here if your school program was 120 hours or longer. You train for 3 to 5 weeks (200 to 250 hours) with a mentor, paid weekly, and then you start running the Arcadia routes.
