CDL A Regional Container Driver - Weekend Wrap

Pay

• Mileage: $0.62 to $0.68 per mile on about 2,000 miles a week, which is $1,240 to $1,360 from miles alone
• Drop and Hook: $15 per stop
• Home Miles: paid when you take the tractor home
• 6th Day: optional extra day when you want it (a 34 hour reset is required before returning)

Schedule

• Weekend Wrap: Friday to Tuesday or Thursday to Monday
• Out 5, Home 2: every week
• Start Times: choose from available shifts between 2 PM and 3 AM, discussed on your welcome call

The Work

• Move rail containers between customers and rail yards in Haslet and Wylie, Texas, with some runs to Memphis
• Every run starts or ends at the Haslet rail yard
• Customers across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri and Kansas
• 24/7/365 operation

• Automatic sleeper tractors with 1500 watt inverters
• 100% company owned tractors, chassis and containers
• 24/7 access to driver facilities in Haslet, Houston, San Antonio, Lowell, North Little Rock and Memphis
• Park at our Haslet, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Lowell or North Little Rock locations if you prefer
• Annual uniform allowance

Getting Started

• Day 1: full day of orientation, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Days 2 to 4 or more: out with a certified trainer on 10 hour days
• Smith System, close quarter maneuvering and job safety training included

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
• 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months with one carrier, 6 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years
• Hazmat endorsement within 180 days of orientation (cost reimbursed, training modules provided)
• Reliable personal transportation and a safe place to park the tractor, or use of the Haslet yard
• No more than 2 moving violations and no careless or reckless driving in the last 3 years
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no major preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing, with no failed drug or alcohol test in the last 5 years
