American Driver has an opening for a Class A driver based in Auburn, AL. Auburn is home to a growing logistics corridor along the I-85 route — making it a practical base for drivers running Eastern OTR lanes.

If you're new to trucking and have your Class A CDL, we provide everything you need to get started. The training program is fully paid and built around real freight, not classroom simulations.

How We Train:

  • Paired with an experienced mentor for 4–6 weeks
  • You're on real loads from the first week
  • Daily operations, compliance, and safety covered in detail
  • Paid weekly throughout the entire training period
  • After training, you go solo at $0.56 CPM

What to Expect Weekly:

  • Dry van freight, no touch required
  • Roughly 60% drop and hook to keep things moving
  • Average 2,200–2,500 miles per week
  • Night and day runs depending on dispatch needs
  • Freight runs consistently — minimal sitting

How Pay Works:

  • Base rate $0.56–$0.65 CPM
  • Most drivers bring home $1,200–$1,500 per week
  • Stops, layovers, and breakdowns all paid additionally
  • Six-month pay review built into the contract
  • $300 paid for orientation week
  • Weekly direct deposit, no delays

Home Time:

  • Consistent home reset every two weeks

  • Assigned Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025)
  • Every truck comes with APU

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL and be at least 21
  • Minimum 120 hours of verified instruction from an accredited commercial driving school required
  • Driving record must show no major violations in past 3 years
  • No DUI convictions within the last 5 years
  • Pre-employment urine and hair follicle drug screening required
