Job Position: Bartender (Royal Caribbean International)

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and crew.

Ensure quick, efficient, and professional mixology service in all assigned venues.

Maintain an attractive and organized bar setup, including inventory awareness.

Greet guests, engage in conversations, and provide operational information.

Promote and sell beverage packages and upsell premium brands.

Follow company standards for drink preparation and presentation.

Assist Bar Servers with drink orders and provide on-the-job training.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar area, following health and safety regulations.

Conduct inventory counts, replenish stock, and handle requisitions for bar supplies.

Assist in setting up, serving, and breaking down for private functions and special events.

Process payments accurately, including calculating discounts, tips, and refunds.

Ensure compliance with ServSafe and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Qualifications:

Minimum age of 21 years old.

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a 4 or 5-star establishment.

Strong mixology skills with knowledge of liquor, beer, and wine brands.

Ability to upsell beverages and execute drink promotions.

Basic math skills for calculating bills, tips, and inventory control.

Good English communication skills (additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian are preferred for certain venues).

Physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs and work long shifts.

Must complete ServSafe training within the first 30 days of employment.

Work Environment:

Work onboard a cruise ship in both indoor and outdoor settings.

May work in areas where smoking is permitted.

Shift-based work, including assisting with non-revenue tasks like cleaning or wheelchair support.
