Job Position: Bar Server (Royal Caribbean International)

Responsibilities:

Serve beverages to guests in bars, lounges, and special events onboard.

Greet guests, take drink orders, and promote beverage packages.

Communicate with the bartender to ensure accurate order preparation.

Verify guests age for alcohol consumption following company regulations.

Recommend alternative drinks if the requested item is unavailable.

Process payments, calculate discounts, tips, and manage POS transactions.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area.

Assist in setting up, serving, and breaking down private functions and events.

Work as a team player and provide on-the-job training to junior staff.

Adhere to USPH, HACCP, ServSafe, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Minimum age of 21 years old.

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 2 years of experience in beverage service or hospitality.

Knowledge of various liquor, beer, and wine brands.

Strong sales and upselling skills.

Good English communication skills.

Physically fit to work long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Must complete ServSafe training within the first 30 days of employment.

Work Environment:

Work onboard a cruise ship in both indoor and outdoor settings.

May work in areas where smoking is permitted.

Shift-based work, including assisting with non-revenue tasks like cleaning or wheelchair support.
