Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure adherence to the company's safety program and relevant client policies and safety standards on the project.
  2. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
  3. Oversee accident prevention, fire prevention, and equipment and property damage control measures.
  4. Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safe work practices, proper maintenance of first aid facilities, and correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  5. Generate safety reports and address corrective actions as well as safety violations.
  6. Facilitate weekly toolbox meetings focusing on real-time site challenges.
  7. Inspect lifting equipment to ensure safe lifting operations.
  8. Ensure project activities align with safety specifications outlined in the contract.
  9. Monitor and address hazardous situations, implementing measures to ensure personnel safety.
  10. Conduct site safety observations and provide recommendations to rectify unsafe conditions.
  11. Investigate incidents, analyze findings, and propose corrective and preventive actions.
  12. Conduct safety induction and orientation for new employees and workers.
  13. Halt activities if there is a potential threat to human life during safety inspections.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of OSH practices and guidelines.
  • Ability to implement OSH training programs effectively.
  • Excellent advisory and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Tools.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • OSH certification as a "Practitioner."
