Jnr Seedling Grower

Our client, a leading supplier of commercial grafted and ungrafted vegetable seedlings, is seeking a Jnr Seedling Grower for their Riebeeck West Nursery in the Western Cape.

Responsibilities:

• Commercial seedling production according to international quality standards
• Daily planning and implementation of irrigation and pest control program
• Guide and manage the irrigation team
• Maintain and operate growing supporting systems
• Conduct seedling production trials

Requirements:

• A tertiary Qualification in agriculture or horticulture
• Experience in intensive vegetable farming will be an advantage
• Computer Literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English & Afrikaans: write and speak
• Ability to lead a team, delegate and follow up.
• Valid drivers license
• Own Transport
