Jnr Accountant/Bookkeeper - Between Villiersdorp and Caledon

Job brief

Our international client, operating two Deciduous Fruit Farms near CALEDON/VILLIERSDORP in the Western Cape, is seeking an energetic Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper with exceptional numerical skills and the ability to thrive under pressure for the above position.

Responsibilities

• Creditor and Debtor Management VAT Management
• Cash and Bank 
• Wages (Back-up function) 
• Property, Plant & Equipment 
• Inventory & Fuel During Harvest Season
• Daily weighbridge reports for each farm and assistance with preparation of files 
• Inter Company Transactions and Accounts 
• Journals All other ad hoc tasks related to the position

Requirements

• Grade 12 Senior Certificate

• Relevant tertiary qualification (Completed Articles will be an advantage)

• Financial/Bookkeeping/Accounting work experience

• Thorough Computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel)

• Working knowledge of Accounting and Payroll software

• Good communication skills - Speak, read and write Afrikaans and English

• Able to work under pressure and independently

• Honest and reliable

• Non-smoker and sober habits

• Own reliable transport (travel to and from work)
