Our client is seeking a Director of Nursing to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for nursing services within an inpatient behavioral health setting. This position requires a collaborative, patient-centered leader to ensure the delivery of high-quality care, patient safety, and clinical excellence. The Director of Nursing will work closely with senior leadership, clinical teams, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of compassion, innovation, and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all nursing operations, including staffing, compliance, and clinical performance.
  • Supervise the nursing management team and ensure adherence to nursing best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, referral sources, and employees to promote cohesive communication and efficient workflows.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality initiatives to optimize patient care outcomes.
  • Prepare monthly operational reports and track key performance metrics to assess quality, safety, and financial objectives.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that supports professional development and staff engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including nursing licensure and standards of care.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline patient care processes and enhance the overall patient experience.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice nursing by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Prior experience in Behavioral Health or Psychiatric Health settings.

Nice to Haves:

  • Previous leadership experience in an inpatient Behavioral Health or Psychiatric Health environment.


Location: Vancouver, WA

Salary: $111,000 - $150,000
