About the job HR Assistant
Responsibilities:
Performs daily payroll department operational functions to ensure accurate data is entered in the payroll system
Ensures accuracy of payroll/benefit information by auditing payroll deductions and HR data input spreadsheet and communicates discrepancies to appropriate team members
Audits all new hire records weekly in Workday and shared folders to confirm banking details, tax documents, work permits, personal information, etc. are completed fully and correctly
Communicates any payroll changes to third parties in a timely manner
Supports with the processing of all semi-monthly, monthly, and off-cycle payrolls globally.
Ensures new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and all relative employee life cycle changes impacting payroll are input into Workday and payroll files accurately
Assists with employee payroll questions and concerns. Handle inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolution
Assists in the development and documentation of world-wide payroll policies and procedures
Research discrepancies of payroll and take corrective actions to avoid future reoccurrence
Maintains familiarity with payroll and tax laws, HR regulations and other related legislation
Prepares miscellaneous reporting for Finance and Human Resources
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration with a minimum of 2 years of global payroll experience
International Payroll experience required
Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Workday preferred
Ability to juggle and manage multiple competing priorities and adjust priorities regularly
Ability to plan and manage multiple projects as well as strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
Ability to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action
Must be able to foster a collaborative and teamwork environment
