DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Receiving Function
  • Ensures that the quality of items received meets the required standards set by the resort and its corresponding price is in accordance with the approved Purchase Order and Market List.
  • Ensures that suppliers invoice are properly stamped in accordance with the resorts receiving procedures and acknowledged by authorized signatories.
  • Prepares daily receiving reports and submits to Cost Control.
  • Prepares daily undelivered items report, copy to Executive Chef, Purchasing Manager and Cost Control.
  • Sees to it that any discrepancies to quantities and prices of goods delivered are noted on the suppliers invoice.
  • Sees to it that store items received are properly forwarded to the storeroom and non-storeroom items to the requesting department.
  • Ensures that all fruits and vegetables received are sanitized before storing.
  • Ensures that all perishable goods are moved to appropriate storage areas within 15 minutes.
  • Must comply with the Almas Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements and procedures.
  • Assist Cost Control in conducting month end inventory.
  • Do all other jobs that may be assigned by the Cost Controller.
  • Sees to it that all FSMS reports are updated daily
  1. Environmental Management System and Food Safety Management System
  • To apply the necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards
  • Adheres to established Food Safety Management System (FSMS) policies and procedures.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the workplace.
  • Practices accident prevention measures.
  • Follows all garbage disposal procedures and standards.
  • Ensures personal grooming and conduct according to hotel standards.
  • Follows safe working practices: handles all equipment in the proper manner.
