Thermal Spray Operator (HVOF)
Overview
The Thermal Spray Operator is responsible for performing coating operations using HVOF equipment while maintaining strict safety, quality, and production standards. The individual must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Schedule: 3 PM- 12 AM Monday- Friday; weekends as neededÂ
Required Skills
- Proficient in using a variety of measuring devices.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Knowledge of thermal spray techniques.
- High commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to interpret shop router instructions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with HVOF operating controls.
- Ability to perform minor preventive maintenance.
- Demonstrated initiative to maintain steady workflow.
- Self-starter capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Follow and enforce safe work practices at all times.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain continuous machine operation to support workflow.
- Hold part dimensions to specifications per instructions or drawings.
- Maintain inspection tools and ensure accuracy.
- Determine optimal setup practices for coating parts.
- Use proper coating materials as specified.
- Monitor and maintain gas levels required for coating processes.
- Oversee and support blast operators as needed.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Adhere to all company rules and policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report to work on time, maintain acceptable attendance, and follow assigned schedules.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent reaching with hands and arms; ability to talk and hear.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle tools, objects, or controls.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
