Bayou Imaging Products is seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitorial / Facility Cleaner responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of the inside and outside of the facility.

Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm

The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a professional, clean, organized, and safe environment. This position requires someone who is comfortable performing a variety of cleaning and general facility-maintenance duties throughout the workday.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Interior Cleaning

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, and floors.
• Replenish restroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners throughout the facility.
• Clean offices, breakrooms, common areas, hallways, entrances, and other assigned areas.
• Wipe down and sanitize tables, counters, doors, handles, and other frequently touched surfaces.
• Dust furniture, equipment, fixtures, windowsills, and other surfaces.
• Clean interior windows, glass doors, and entry areas as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness of employee break and common areas.
• Clean spills promptly and place appropriate warning signs when necessary.
• Assist with cleaning warehouse, production, and work areas as directed.
• Maintain janitorial closets, cleaning supplies, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.

Exterior Cleaning & Grounds Upkeep

• Sweep and clean sidewalks, entrances, loading areas, and exterior walkways.
• Pick up trash, debris, and litter from around the building and property.
• Empty exterior trash containers as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness around entrances, parking areas, and other exterior areas.
• Remove leaves, dirt, and debris from sidewalks and entrances.
• Clean exterior doors and windows as assigned.
• Keep dumpster and trash collection areas clean and organized.
• Report unsafe conditions, property damage, leaks, or maintenance concerns to management.
• Assist with other general exterior facility-cleaning duties as needed.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Read and follow product labels and safety instructions.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Place wet-floor signs and other safety warnings when necessary.
• Immediately report spills, hazards, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain walkways and work areas free of unnecessary obstacles and debris.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, industrial cleaning, or facility-maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned duties without constant supervision.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Comfortable cleaning both inside and outside of an industrial/commercial facility.
• Ability to safely use standard cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Must be willing to perform a variety of cleaning and general facility-support duties.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and squat throughout the workday.
• Push and pull cleaning equipment and trash containers.
• Lift and carry cleaning supplies, trash, and other materials.
• Perform repetitive cleaning motions.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Perform physically demanding cleaning and general labor duties throughout the shift.
