Safety Representative – Baytown, TX

Pay: $22.00–$24.00/hr Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required Certification: OSHA 30 Required

Position Overview

All Tex is seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Representative to support and strengthen our safety culture at our Baytown facility. This role is ideal for someone with a strong safety background, EMT experience, and a commitment to compliance, training, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. The Safety Representative will work effectively as part of a team and report directly to the Safety Coordinator.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company safety regulations
  • Conduct daily facility inspections and monitor adherence to OSHA standards
  • Continuously improve safety programs to support a zero‑harm environment
  • Observe and evaluate departmental safety audits
  • Lead safety orientations, certifications, and hands‑on training sessions
  • Manage and conduct emergency action plan training and implementation
  • Utilize EMT experience to support emergency response readiness and incident management
  • Facilitate safety committee meetings and oversee safety project teams
  • Maintain accurate safety records, training logs, and documentation
  • Coordinate with external vendors (fire systems, waste brokers, PPE suppliers, etc.)
  • Maintain the incident database and ensure timely monthly safety audits
  • Keep all safety binders and compliance documentation up to date
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and support cross‑department communication
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Must have PPE and steel‑toe boots

Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • EMT experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Minimum 6+ months of safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Experience with forklift, scissor lift, and Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of problem‑solving
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor under pressure
  • Proficient with computers and safety documentation systems

Work Environment

  • 50/50 split between office and warehouse/shop areas
  • Exposure to varying climate conditions and airborne particulates
  • Moderate to high noise levels in plant areas
  • Use of standard office equipment and required safety gear
