Mechanical Assembler
About the job Mechanical Assembler
Work Schedule Monday-Friday (some Saturdays)
8am-6pm (1 hour lunch)
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving assembly issues
- Support production goals and meet daily output targets
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with metal components or industrial equipment
- Familiarity with torque tools and mechanical fasteners
- Forklift certification (a plus)
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production setting
- May involve standing for long periods
- Exposure to noise, machinery, and moving parts
