Job Description – Cold Head Operator

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Cold Head Operator to set up and operate bolt‑making machines in a growing, quality‑focused manufacturing department. Essential Duties

• Set up and operate various Cold Head machines to produce high‑quality fasteners.
• Select and install proper tooling according to work instructions.
• Perform die changes, tooling adjustments, and machine setups.
• Collaborate with supervisors and maintenance teams to resolve machine, tooling, and setup issues.
• Follow all Quality System procedures and OSHA safety regulations.
• Use precision measuring tools to perform in‑process inspections and verify part conformity to prints, drawings, and production travelers.
• Lift up to 60 lbs as required.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined with experience using hand tools and understanding units of measurement.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate documentation.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• 1+ years of header or cold heading experience preferred but not required.
• PPE Required: Must have steel‑toe shoes.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekends as needed
