Job Summary:
As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitting machines to cut materials into specified sizes and shapes. You will work with a variety of materials, including paper, plastic, and metal, to produce high-quality products for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience operating slitting machines and possess a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate slitting machines according to job specifications
- Load and unload materials onto machines
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Make adjustments to machines as needed to maintain production standards
- Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary repairs
- Keep accurate records of production and materials used
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating slitting machines
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications
- Proficient in basic math and measurement
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
