Hourly Rate: $17.00/hr
Key Qualifications:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Proficient with tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and torque tools for mechanical repairs, essential for lift installation and maintenance.
- Suspension System Knowledge: Understanding of components like shock absorbers, struts, springs, control arms, and bushings; ability to diagnose and repair wear or damage effectively.
- Alignment Expertise: Skilled in performing wheel alignments to maintain proper tire wear and vehicle handling, with familiarity in using alignment machines and tools.
- Chassis Repair: Experienced in working with the vehicles frame or chassis, understanding its impact on suspension performance.
- Steering Systems: Knowledgeable about how suspension affects steering, including inspection and repair of tie rods, ball joints, and rack-and-pinion systems.
- Tire and Wheel Knowledge: Understanding the effect of different suspension setups on tire wear and performance, and working with various wheel and tire sizes.
- Diagnostic Tools: Familiar with tools for testing suspension performance and identifying issues.
- Hydraulic Systems Knowledge: Understanding hydraulic principles, including fluid dynamics, pressure control, and cylinder operations. Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic pumps, valves, and seals.
- Electrical Systems: Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, troubleshooting, and wiring for lifts with electric motors and control systems.
- Welding and Fabrication: Experienced with welding and metalworking for custom brackets or modifications.
