Beveling Operator

Job Description:

1) Sets up and operates one or more machines to bevel, pencil edge, and polish rectangular glass or mirror edges: Loosens calibrated gauge with wrench and turns gauge to set grinding wheels to cut bevel to close tolerances.

2) Press buttons and turn handwheels to start the flow of coolant and polishing compound onto grinding wheels.

3) Starts the machine and places the material conveyor of the machine.

4) Observe the ammeter to determine the grinding load.

5) Turn the handwheels to adjust the grinding wheels.

6) Move the material from the machine and wipe the edges to remove the polishing compound.

7) Feels edge for smoothness.
