Concrete (Start to finish) Laborer

 The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the concrete / precast industry, particularly in precast operations, and will be comfortable with both hands-on operational tasks. Crucial role in establishing and managing precast concrete operations from the ground up.

 Job Summary:

  • Start to finish you are responsible for the production of quality precast concrete products.
  • Working in the production plant you will be on your feet all day - move quickly through the task of your day helping meet customer's needs. 
  • Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
  • Reading production drawings
  • Finishing concrete with various floats and other tools. 
  • Strip and clean concrete forms and products. 
  • Prepare steel molds for filling and concrete.
  • Assist in the concrete pouring and refinish-rebuilt-repair process.
  • Clean and prep mold and forms.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Facility Maintenance and housekeeping. 

Precast Concrete Operations Specialist Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the precast concrete industry.
  • Strong operational background with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Knowledge of concrete mixing systems and production processes.
  • Commitment to safety and quality assurance.
  • Manufacturing of construction experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of basic math and measurements.

  • Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits and ability to be punctual.

  • Ability to operate fabrication machines in a safe manner without supervision
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Minimum 3 years preferably in a heavy industrial environment experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, and work outside under all weather conditions when needed
  • Must be able to read technical documents and service manuals
  • Must be able to write job instructional training documents
  • Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the industrial field
  • Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned for emergency situations
