Mill & Lathe CNC Machinist - Metallic parts production

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preform set up and operate CNC machines (Mill or Lathe) in all phases of production. 
  • Run new and day-to-day programs to ensure quality of product throughout the production. 
  • Review blueprints, drawings, specifications and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerance of part/production, sequence of operations and /or set up requirements. 
  • Identify, produce and gauge a variety of straight and taper threads, including ACME & Buttress (does not apply to mill positions) 
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate various machining factors such as speeds, feeds, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut. 
  • Maintain, Start, and Observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions, out of tolerance. Ability to adjust the machine controls as necessary. 
  • Daily Maintenace duties.  
  1. Ability to work under minimum of supervision. 
  2. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings as they pertain to machining of inflatable packers or related downhole tools. 
  3. Must have own tools adequate to perform job. 
  4. Ability to solve, calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, circumstances and volume.
