Casting Associate 

Manufacturing shop 

Ideal candidate will work in a casting shop using a pump to pour melted product into mold
and float to finish material with torch to meet quality standards. This environment is similar to a foundry, where the shop is typically hotter than ambient temperatures.


Responsibilities / Responsibilities:

  •  Remove parts from molds, trimming flashing off the parts to meet quality checks.                       Stack Parts onto pallets.                                                                                                              ->Trim flashing off the parts to meet quality checks.                                                                  ->> Perform visual quality checks as instructed.                                                                      ---->>>Use a pump to pour melted lead into a mold.

Meet production goals and quality standards.
->Drive a forklift.
->Exert more than 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds of force continually.
->>Physically active in all elements of the job.

Wear company provided full head gear respirator system: Full-Head gear, long sleeve uniform, ear buds, gloves. Enforce and comply with all environmental, health, and safety requirements. 


Qualifications / Requirements: 
High School diploma or GED required.
1-3 years of work experience required.
Ability to read and write in English to understand basic safety instructions and take
direction from supervisors and respond to basic questions.
Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices,
procedures, and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.
Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations.
Ability to operate complex machinery and tools in varied situations. 
Familiarity with using a rosebud/oxy fuel torch is a plus.
Must have a clean background for 5 years.
Must be able to withstand the heat and work in a hot environment.                                               Must be able frequently lift heavy materials.                                                                               Must be able to work in a noisy shop setting; A respirator, gloves, and earplugs are required. 

East Houston 

Shift: 1st - 4 am to 2 pm (10-hour shifts) Monday to Thursday or 4 am to 12 noon Monday to Friday; based on production scheduled needs. 

Average: 40 per week. Ideal candidate will be open to working 32hours to 50+ hours based on project production schedule.
