Job Summary:

As a Journeyman Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of pumps used in the oil and gas industry. You will work closely with our client's team to ensure all pumps are functioning efficiently and safely. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of pumps, including centrifugal, reciprocating, and submersible pumps

- Troubleshoot and diagnose pump issues, and develop effective solutions

- Disassemble and reassemble pumps, inspecting and replacing worn or damaged parts as needed

- Utilize hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to complete repairs and maintenance tasks

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs and repair records

- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks

- Assist with training and mentoring junior mechanics as needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent experience as a Journeyman Pump Mechanic

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with pumps in the oil and gas industry

- Strong understanding of pump systems, including hydraulic and mechanical principles

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 pounds

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
