Maintenance Electrician

RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with all safety requirements resulting in zero safety violations. This includes participating in all safety related activities such as safety talks, behavioral based safety observations, audits, etc.

Conduct daily safety messages and monthly safety topics. Promotes safety as our highest priority.

Must be able to perform all tasks in a safe manner.

Must have working knowledge of LOTO, Hot Work Permitting, and other standard industrial safety practices.

Has the ability to diagnose complex electrical and mechanical issues in an industrial environment.

Troubleshoot manufacturing issues within the process or facility.

Has the ability, individually and/or with a Team, to make recommendations to reduce downtime and improve efficiency and reliability.

Maintain a clean work environment.

Must be able to perform general maintenance work on rotating and fixed equipment. These tasks may involve but would not limit to:

The ability to remove, disassemble, clean, replace, reassemble, and rebuild electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment / systems.

Has the ability to perform specific tasks such as Load Cell Calibrations, Blender Calibrations, Thermo-Couple, Transducer checks, AC/DC drives, and ensure equipment is within manufactures specifications.

Has the understanding and ability to interact with PLCs. Must have a working knowledge of PLCs.

Understand and follow one-line diagrams, flow charts, blueprints, and schematics.

Ability to use VOM, motor analyzers, meggers, scopes, etc..

Assist with predictive testing for repairs and reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS

PLC - Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting. Programming recommended.

Hydraulics / Pneumatics Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and repairs.

Electrical Full understanding to troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and replace components in both AC and DC with voltages ranging up to 480 volts.

Computer Must be able to open, modify, and close work orders in a CMMS system. Must be able to complete daily logs and any additional paperwork as required.

Mechanical Must be able to replace / rebuild gearboxes, shafts, rollers, blowers, piping, belts, machine guarding, pumps, hoses, and other industrial equipment.

Inspections Must be able to perform routine inspections of safety systems, lubricate equipment, gather information as needed to assist with equipment analysis and checklists.
