Utility worker (Industrial)

Job Summary 

We are seeking a dedicated Utility Worker to perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitation duties within the facility. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in designated areas—including locker rooms, break rooms, and areas surrounding plant equipment—while adhering to all state health and safety regulations and Quality Management System policies.

Candidates must have strong knowledge of cleaning practices, the ability to be cross‑trained in production areas, and excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, weekends on an as-needed basis, 6:30 AM -5 PM 

Responsibilities

• Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
• Sweep and maintain the cleanliness of plant floors.
• Clean pallets as assigned.
• Remove and dispose of trash.
• Maintain designated work areas inside and outside the facility.
• Complete assigned utility tasks and obtain required sign‑offs.
• Shower at the end of each shift before leaving the facility.

Requirements

• Ability to wear a respirator for most of the shift.
• Strong task‑prioritization skills.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a utility worker.
• Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and proper cleaning techniques.
• Clean background
