Position Summary

Dominion Rigging is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and material handling activities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience managing warehouse personnel, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate movement of rigging equipment, materials, and supplies while meeting operational deadlines and company quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory, shipping, and material handling.
  • Lead, train, schedule, and mentor warehouse personnel to maximize productivity and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately processed and documented.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
  • Organize warehouse layout to maximize storage capacity and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct regular warehouse inspections to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, operations, and project management teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Manage shipping documents, bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory records.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor warehouse supplies and equipment, scheduling maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new warehouse employees.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or equivalent warehouse management experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or rigging environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving, inventory management, and warehouse best practices.
  • Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read shipping documents, packing lists, and purchase orders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and material handling machinery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience handling rigging equipment, lifting hardware, slings, wire rope, chain, and industrial supplies.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience is a plus.
