Pay: $18.00-$20.00

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience
  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Ability to work beyond regular schedule when needed
  • Bilingual Preferred

Position Objective

Responsible for entering incoming orders, completing customer quotes, and managing all incoming calls and emails to ensure excellent customer service.

Training

Two weeks of on‑the‑job training, including observing the production line to understand assembly processes and parts used.

Duties & Responsibilities

A. Tasks and Duties

  • Check and return voicemail messages each morning
  • Respond promptly to incoming emails
  • Process customer quote requests
  • Receive purchase orders via email, phone, or fax
  • Review and enter orders into AS400
  • Contact customers regarding discrepancies or pricing issues
  • Obtain manager approval and send order confirmations
  • Follow up to ensure signed confirmations are returned
  • Distribute copies to the warehouse for production
  • Release orders in AS400 and coordinate with accounting
  • Provide customers with shipping tracking information
  • Submit invoices and file completed orders
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure timely order completion
  • Handle customer claims (quality issues, shortages, etc.)
  • Investigate issues by reviewing original orders and documentation
  • Provide backup documents for management review
  • Communicate resolutions to customers
  • Process Regional Sales Manager expense reports
  • Verify receipts and submit final reports to the Credit Department
  • Review weekly overdue reports and follow up with customer A/P departments
  • Provide weekly status updates to management

  • Occasional exposure to hot/cold conditions in the warehouse
  • Exposure to odors, fumes, dust
  • Proximity to moving machinery

Authority / Decision Making

Works under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President, Unit Manager, Sales & Service Coordinator, and Sales Director, following company policies and procedures.
