Position Overview

Alivia Group Staffing is building an on-call bench of qualified Financial Analysts to support anticipated public-sector financial projects in the Long Beach area. Assignments may include budget analysis, financial reporting, forecasting, compliance review, and special analytical projects.

This position is part of an on-call talent pool being established for anticipated public-sector accounting and finance projects in the Long Beach area. Placement is contingent upon contract award and client task order requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis related to budgets, expenditures, and financial performance

• Prepare forecasts, variance analyses, and financial models

• Analyze financial data to support management decision-making

• Assist with budget development, monitoring, and reporting

• Support compliance reviews and internal control assessments

• Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations

• Assist with audits, grant reporting, and special financial projects

• Collaborate with accounting, procurement, and operational teams

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of financial analysis experience

• Public-sector or government finance experience preferred

• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting practices

• Familiarity with GASB standards is a plus

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Ability to work on-site in Long Beach, CA

• Must be eligible to pass Live Scan background screening

Assignment Details

• Pay Rate: $40 – $60 per hour (W-2)

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

• Work Location: On-site in Long Beach, CA

• Employment Type: Temporary / On-Call / Project-Based
