Regional Sales Manager – Los Angeles - Western U.S. Territory
Job Overview
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to grow and support our footprint across the Western United States. This role blends territory expansion, technical sales, and channel partner management within the HVAC / building automation manufacturing space.
The Regional Sales Manager will work directly with established channel partners who sell solutions to end clients. This includes educating and training partners, acting as a technical subject matter expert (SME) on joint sales calls, supporting project development, and representing the organization at trade shows, webinars, and industry events.
This is a remote, field-based role requiring regular travel throughout the Western U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business growth through strategic engagement with engineers, contractors, and facility stakeholders
- Manage and support assigned channel partners and key accounts across a multi-state territory
- Deliver technical sales presentations and lead solution-based selling initiatives
- Identify high-potential projects and guide them from design through post-installation support
- Act as a technical SME during partner and end-customer sales calls
- Collaborate with internal application engineering and marketing teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Facilitate and attend trade shows, webinars, and training events
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships within the assigned territory
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience in HVAC or Building Automation
- Experience working for an HVAC manufacturer or building automation manufacturer
- Prior experience as a Territory Manager or Regional Sales Manager
- Strong understanding of:
- HVAC airflow measurement
- Room pressure monitoring
- Mechanical building systems
- Proven experience selling through channel partners / indirect sales models
- Ability to understand, explain, and sell complex technical concepts
- Experience working with engineers, specifiers, contractors, and owners
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the Western U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Experience supporting multi-state or regional territories
- Background supporting critical environments such as healthcare or research facilities
