NetworkOperations - Help Desk Support III - Contract to Hire

 Job Description:

End User Computing resources would provide technical support to users' devices including desktop computers, printers, Smart devices, Video Conference systems, and other peripherals.

In addition, this position will provide some high-level troubleshooting support for customer-provided and vendor-neutral software in a networked environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Own the software and hardware inventory process to provide forecasting for new transitions and establish a plan for more effective utilization and redeployment.

Collaborates with various IT departments, offshore support personnel, and vendors for the purpose of meeting end-user needs

Configures, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains software and hardware in a networked environment; performs on-site repairs of technology equipment or arranges for repairs for the purpose of providing exceptional customer service that exceeds their expectations.

Facilitates incident calls related to EUC breakdowns and works with different groups to solve problems that may affect customer deliverables.

Works with peers and other departments to ensure the desktop applications and environments that support EUC engineering in up to date.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring the site is compliant with internal audit requirements and external audit readiness from an IT perspective

Provide hands and feet support for critical after-hour activities.

Complete IT process trainings and certifications required for the role.

Solid understanding of ITIL framework

Desktop virtualization technologies (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Application Virtualization)

Desktop security and configuration management through Group Policy Objects (GPO)

Mobile Device Management solutions

Strong attention to detail

Ability to operate with significant autonomy and latitude to meet business objectives

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of associates in the organization

Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently with minimal error and guidance

Excellent planning and organizational skills with an ability to understand the long-term vision

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School/Graduate in information systems, computer applications or similar field preferred.

Additional IT certifications such as Network +, MCP, ITIL v3, Citrix and VMware knowledge will be a big plus.

At least 3 years of experience in the design, implementation and administration of desktop services.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Degree of physical demands (strength) usually associated with this position. Able to lift 70 lbs.

Environmental conditions (physical surroundings and hazards) usually associated with this position.

Office/ Mobile Must be able to work on-call and to travel

Standing for long periods of time, climbing under desks, cubicles, equipment etc, or maneuvering in small spaces such as rack spaces, IT closets, server areas is required.

Education: Bachelors Degree

Certification: ITILĀ® v3 Foundation Certification , Microsoft Certified Professional , Cisco Certified Network Associate
