 Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing processes across our stores, commissaries, and overall office operations. This role involves improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity through data-driven strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis and Improvement:

    • Analyze existing processes in stores, commissaries, and office operations to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
    • Design and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
    • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other industrial engineering methodologies to streamline operations.
  • Workforce Optimization:

    • Conduct time and motion studies to evaluate and optimize workforce utilization.
    • Develop staffing models and labor standards to ensure efficient labor allocation.
    • Implement workforce management tools and techniques to improve scheduling and task allocation.
  • Facility Layout and Design:

    • Design and optimize facility layouts for stores, commissaries, and offices to improve workflow and space utilization.
    • Coordinate with construction and design teams to implement layout changes.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and ergonomic standards.
  • Supply Chain and Inventory Management:

    • Analyze and optimize supply chain processes to reduce lead times and inventory costs.
    • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and logistics providers to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting:

    • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor process performance.
    • Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate performance metrics to management.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations.
  • Project Management:

    • Lead cross-functional projects to implement process improvements and operational changes.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
    • Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations management.
    • Experience in retail, food service, or commissary operations is highly desirable.
  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in industrial engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, time and motion studies).
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, Tableau).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Salary Package:
