General Accountant

 Job Description:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and

accounts receivable entries.

Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with

accounting principles.

Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.

Monitor cash flow and assist with bank reconciliations.

Process payroll

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Compile and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and variances.

Support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income

statements, and cash flow statements.

Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT and withholding tax.

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and support the coordination of tax audits,

if required.

Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate tax reporting.

Perform periodic account reconciliations to validate the accuracy of financial data.

Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records and report findings to the owner /

CFO

Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

Provide necessary documentation and support in response to audit inquiries.

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

Suggest improvements to financial systems and procedures, contributing to a more

effective accounting department.

Adhere to company policies and procedures related to financial operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a finance-related role is preferred

but not always required for entry-level positions.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Familiarity with local accounting regulations and tax laws.

Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.

Integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
