Financial Controller

 Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies, providing senior management with reliable financial information for decision-making.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, working closely with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts that align with business objectives and financial targets.
  3. Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis, to identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and operational improvements.
  4. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and minimize financial risks.
  5. Tax Planning and Compliance: Manage tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency, ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns.
  6. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the availability of funds for operational needs, coordinating with treasury and finance teams to optimize cash management strategies.
  7. Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations to support the audit findings.
  8. Financial Systems Improvement: Continuously review and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness, leveraging technology and best practices.
  9. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to develop their skills and capabilities and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred but not required.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management roles, with a proven track record of leadership and success in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Experience in the retail or food industry is a plus.
  3. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, with proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience with ERP systems and financial software is essential.
  4. Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, foster collaboration, and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  5. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders and senior management.
  6. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  7. Ethical Conduct: High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the company's values and promoting financial transparency and accountability.

 Salary Package:

₱ 70,000.00 - 90,000.00 (Philippine Peso)
