Position Overview:

As a Medical Assistant, you will assist physicians in examining and treating patients, obtain and document vital signs, prepare lab specimens, and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. Additionally, you will serve as a mentor and trainer for new medical assistants, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with patient examinations and treatments
• Room patients and obtain vital signs, including pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, pulse oximeter, pain level, weight, and height
• Document patient information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
• Serve as a mentor for new medical assistants, assisting with training and onboarding
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and healthcare regulatory guidelines
• Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training/experience required
• Licenses & Certifications (must have at least one of the following):
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Paramedic
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
