The Software Developer in Test is part of the Caseware team. Our platform, which streamlines and automates many tasks performed daily by accountants, auditors, and tax advisors worldwide, supports the development of additional applications, add-ins, and extensions to meet the needs of these professionals across all sectors globally.
What are you going to do:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for Caseware's web-based SaaS products
- Executing and supervising functional, integration, regression, and exploratory tests
- Collaborate with developers and product specialists to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and testability.
- Analyzing requirements and technical designs to identify risk areas and critical test scenarios
- Investigate, document, and follow up on defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.
- Improving test coverage, test reliability, and overall QA processes
- Guiding and coaching junior SDET team members
- Promoting and disseminating best practices in the field of quality within the engineering organization
What you will bring:
- Mid-level (3–5 years) experience in QA, test automation, or SDET roles
- Demonstrable experience testing complex web applications, preferably SaaS products
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Hands-on experience with test automation using modern tools and frameworks, specifically Cypress
- Solid knowledge of the software development cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Ability to write clear, maintainable, and well-structured test cases and code
- Comfortable working within cross-functional, international teams
- Good coordination skills and the ability to promote continuous QA awareness within the team
- Good command of both Dutch and English
Nice to have:
- Experience in domains such as audit, accountancy, financial reporting, or compliance software
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions) and Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence
- ISTQB or other QA-related certifications
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern web architectures
- Experience contributing to test strategies or quality improvement initiatives
