About the job Platform Tech Lead / C# Lead Developer (Exchange Infrastructure)
Hacksaw Gaming is looking for a Tech Lead / C# Lead Developer who will own the technical foundation of the system and build a new exchange platform from the ground up inside an already financially stable and mature company.
The existing platform is very advanced (they are already on Sweden stock exchange and worth billions), but this specific exchange initiative is essentially a brand-new vertical/project inside the company. So you are not coming in to maintain or lightly improve an existing mature exchange platform. You will be brought in very early to help design and structure the exchange infrastructure correctly from the beginning.
What you will do:
- Design the system architecture
- Lead the team that develops the system, including hands-on development
- Define and enforce engineering standards across backend, infrastructure, and data layers
- Lead the design of core components
- Ensure the system is built for performance (low latency, high throughput) and reliability
- Work hands-on with engineers to implement critical components
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering
- Proven experience designing distributed systems at scale
- Strong expertise in .NET / ASP.NET Core
- Deep understanding of high-performance system architecture and concurrency
- Experience with financial systems, trading platforms, or other real-time systems is highly preferred
- Ability to think in systems, not just services
- Strong understanding of SQL, databases and caching
Nice to have: Background in fintech, exchanges, or high-frequency systems

- You care about correctness as much as speed
What else should you know?
Long-term relocation to Sweden is required within a few months (remote start possible). A full relocation package is provided, including flights for family, temporary housing, relocation allowance, housing support, and immigration assistance.
Contract is signed directly with Hacksaw Gaming.
