Job Summary:
As the Deal Desk Manager at Panorama Education, you will have the exciting opportunity to build our Deal Desk function from the ground up. In this newly created role, you will work closely with Sales, Account Management, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to streamline the deal and renewal processes, support optimization efforts for pricing and packaging, improve deal velocity, and ensure compliance. You will be responsible for establishing scalable processes, tools, and frameworks that will enable the sales team to close deals efficiently while maximizing profitability and minimizing risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and Lead the Deal Desk Function:
- Create and implement a robust Deal Desk framework from scratch.
- Develop and document processes, policies, and guidelines to streamline deal approvals, pricing, booking process, and contract management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Revenue team for deal structuring, pricing approvals, and contract negotiation support.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
- Partner with Sales, Account Management, Legal, Finance, and Revenue
- Operations to align deal structures with company goals.
- Work closely with Legal to ensure that all deals comply with contractual guidelines, including contract terms, discounting, and non standard terms.
- Liaise with Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, margin analysis, and revenue recognition.
Deal Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze deal performance, win/loss data, and pricing trends to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Track and report on key deal metrics and performance indicators to the leadership team.
Pricing Strategy & Compliance:
- Support the development and implementation of pricing, packaging, and discounting strategies that align with company OKRs and KPIs.
- Ensure all deals comply with internal pricing and approval policies, including obtaining necessary approvals for non-standard deals.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a deal desk, revenue operations, or finance role with proven experience building or leading a Deal Desk function.
- Experience in SaaS/technology companies is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of deal structuring, pricing, and contract management in a high-growth environment.
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and CPQ.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of working effectively with sales, finance, and legal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex deal structures.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
