We are looking for a Solution Engineer to join our team and play a key role in pre-sales, implementation, and customer success. This position requires a technical and business-oriented mindset to help clients understand, integrate, and maximize the value of Gotransverses solutions.
Role Overview
As a Solution Engineer, you will be the technical expert supporting the Sales and Implementation teams. Your main goal is to showcase the value of the Gotransverse enterprise billing solution through tailored product demonstrations and technical discussions.
You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide technical solutions, and ensure smooth system integrations. This role involves problem-solving, collaboration with internal teams, and managing multiple projects, with some travel required to customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement & Product Demonstrations
- Understand client billing, invoicing, revenue management, and reporting needs.
- Conduct tailored product demonstrations showcasing the Gotransverse enterprise billing solution.
- Deliver virtual and in-person presentations to potential clients, market analysts, and technology partners.
- Engage in technical discussions to address questions and concerns.
- Assist in creating sales materials (presentations, case studies, technical documentation).
- Respond to customer requests for proposals (RFPs) and other technical inquiries.
2. Technical Expertise & Problem-Solving
- Become a subject matter expert in subscription billing and revenue management.
- Work with large data lakes, SQL databases, APIs, and workflow automation tools.
- Support customer integrations with CRMs, payment processors, cloud platforms, and automation tools.
- Provide insights on technical solutions to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to provide feedback on customer needs.
3. System Integrations & Data Management
- Work with RESTful APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT), and system integrations.
- Implement integrations using middleware tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato).
- Support Single Sign-On (SSO) platforms (Okta, Microsoft Azure, AWS Identity, SAML, MFA, OIDC, SCIM).
- Manage and optimize SQL queries (Snowflake, Postgres, MariaDB, Oracle).
- Utilize data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and insights.
- Understand cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic networking (DNS, VPN, SSL).
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have Requirements
Experience in a technical sales or customer-facing role (e.g., Solution Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Customer Success, or Technical Support in a SaaS environment).
Proficiency in demonstrating complex software solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills with experience in billing, revenue management, accounting, or finance applications.
Technical aptitude to quickly understand complex software and articulate solutions.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Experience working with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot).
Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Fluency in English, French, and Spanish (Italian and Portuguese are a plus).
Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings.
Preferred Technical Skills
SQL query writing & optimization (Snowflake, Postgres, MariaDB, Oracle).
Experience with API integrations and authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT).
Knowledge of middleware tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato) and SSO platforms (Okta, Microsoft Azure, AWS Identity).
Familiarity with data analysis platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
Hands-on experience with ticketing systems (Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira).
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MacOS & terminal usage.
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, SSL).
