Job Summary
ADNOC is seeking a skilled HDV Heavy Mechanic to support offshore operations by ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on trucks, trailers, buses, and construction equipment. The successful candidate will contribute to maximizing fleet availability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, cooling systems, and other major components.
- Conduct welding, fabrication, and mechanical fitting activities as required.
- Perform post-repair testing to ensure vehicle reliability and operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and parts consumption logs.
- Adhere to ADNOC HSE requirements, workshop procedures, and manufacturer standards.
- Support workshop housekeeping, equipment readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational or Technical Certification in Automotive/Mechanical Maintenance is preferred.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Vehicle Mechanic.
- 3-5 Years of Experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic vehicle systems.
- Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit to work in demanding offshore workshop environments.
Preferred Certifications
- Automotive or Mechanical Maintenance Certifications.
- Relevant Heavy Equipment or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Certifications.
