HSE Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Engineer to join our team and oversee all Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects of our civil and building projects with a focus on substation and MEP work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety and a thorough understanding of local and international safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • - Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management in the construction industry, with a focus on civil and building projects with substation and MEP involved in it
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 901, 45001 or equivalent certification
  • Accident Investigation certification from 3rd party
  • ADNOC approval ad HSE Engineer will be add on
  • Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards
  • - Proven ability to develop and implement HSE policies and procedures
  • - Experience in conducting safety training and incident investigations
  • - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE software

Key Responsibilities:

  • - Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures for civil and building projects with a focus on substation and MEP work
  • - Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • - Create and maintain project-specific safety plans and risk assessments
  • - Conduct safety training and orientation for all project personnel
  • - Investigate incidents and accidents, and develop corrective and preventive measures
  • - Ensure all safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are in good working condition and available for use
  • - Monitor and report on HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • - Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE requirements
  • - Stay updated on relevant HSE regulations and industry best practices, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance
  • - Promote a positive safety culture among all project personnel
