Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for measuring and mapping land to determine property boundaries, assess topography, and prepare data for construction, development, or legal purposes. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure projects are executed with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct land surveys and measurements using advanced surveying equipment, such as GPS, total stations, and drones.
  • Establish and verify property boundaries, easements, and rights-of-way in accordance with legal standards.
  • Prepare accurate maps, sketches, and reports based on survey results.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to interpret and apply survey data to project designs.
  • Ensure all surveying activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Analyze survey data using specialized software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, or other CAD tools).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of surveying methods, technologies, and legal requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in survey data and resolve them promptly.
  • Conduct topographic, hydrographic, or construction surveys as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain survey records, including field notes, sketches, and legal descriptions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in land surveying, including boundary and topographic surveys.
  • Proficiency in operating surveying tools and equipment (e.g., GPS, total stations, levels).
  • Strong understanding of AutoCAD, GIS, and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal land surveying regulations.
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and rugged terrain.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with drone technology for aerial surveying.
  • Knowledge of advanced geospatial technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports and communicating findings.
