Librarian

 Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize library resources, including books, periodicals, and digital materials 
  • Develop and maintain a cataloging system for easy access to resources
  • Assist patrons with finding and utilizing library materials 
  • Provide reference services and research assistance to patrons 
  • Plan and conduct library programs and events, such as book clubs and author talks 
  • Stay up-to-date with new library technologies and trends 
  • Collaborate with other librarians and library staff to improve library services 
  • Oversee the library budget and make strategic purchasing decisions - Train and supervise library assistants and volunteers 
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming library environment for patrons

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills 
  • Knowledge of library systems and technologies 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Familiarity with current library trends and best practices 
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

Salary 2500 AED
